Before we begin, I want to share 1 simple fact that I hope you check when we're done.
Whenever I read an article that promises a BIG payout, or something that sounds too good to be true, I immediately roll my eyes, and begin the process of deeply discounting the information that I'm about to read. (or, equally as likely... I skip it altogether)
I don't want you to do that HERE, and if you are serious about success, but STUCK in a rut of depression and disappointment about your progress (and profits) thus far, there IS light at the end of the tunnel. I'm going to give that to you below.
But first, if you truly covet a 6 figure income from home, and think there is NO way you can do it, I want you to consider THIS. (and then fact check it later to verify it's true)
The average "COACH" earns well north of $100 an hour.
According to various studies published in 2012 (including by the Independent Coaching Federation) the average generic life coach earns $160 per hour.
The average business coach, OVER $300 an hour.
And these are NOT coaches with big, busy, thriving practices that are full of clients and commitments that suck the joy and juice out of their lives.
On the CONTRARY... according to the very same surveys, the highest echelon of coaches have UNDER 6 clients per week. (5.5, I believe was the average number)
If you are a business coach, and are helping folks succeed with their email marketing, or content marketing, or relationship marketing, or even doing more conventional "offline" business building stye stuff, with 6 clients you can earn $1800 a week, if you are "average" and believe those published statistics are correct, and you ONLY see or speak to your clients once per week.
(which you won't... typically, especially if you are getting started, you'll do something daily with each, and charge a flat amount per month)
I want to give you a very simple formula that has worked wonderfully well for me, with the hope that you'll use it, try it and build your brand, blog and business the same way.
Find something that you LOVE and do better than most. It could be cooking. It could be clairvoyance. It could be counseling folks about credit. It could be creating content about cars.
If you take what you LOVE, and create content around it, and use that content to attract a community of fans, friends and followers, you CAN "coach" people (indirectly or directly) to have success, and earn BIG bucks while you are doing it.
For example - in MY business, I create content to attract coaches and consultants, and then I try to help them build communities using the same principles I incorporated to attract them in the first place:-) I love it, it's lucrative... and it ideally DOES work wonderfully well for all.
I have a client (and friend) who does NOTHING other than create conversational, relationship marketing campaigns for doctors and dentists... and charges over 2k per client, to sign on. (and now gets most of her business through referrals)
I know weight loss coaches who LOVE helping people get healthy... who have built huge publishing empires on articles like THIS one, and ebooks they publish on Amazon.
Even if you look at something like Google AdSense... the funny thing is, their current "success story", featured prominently on their program, is a guy who just loves to write about CARS, and has converted that content into a creative community of articles and ads, and is making an avalanche of cash.
Start with what you have PASSION for - and then reverse engineer that sense of purpose into PROGRESS, and profit.
There is NO better feeling than doing what you love for a living, and nothing makes the world burn brighter... than people who dance in the direction of their dreams. (so do that and allow your ideas to inspire us all)
