Instagram's User Count By Internet Marketing Firms

By Robert Sutter

When it comes to photo sharing applications, it's hard to argue with the prominence associated with Instagram. Without question, it is one of the biggest names to consider and anyone who has used the site for a minimal degree of time can say the same. However, did you know that Instagram has another notch it can place in its proverbial cap? This has to do with the app's user base, and this is a point that Internet marketing firms will be able to cover.

The proverbial notch in the cap, as mentioned earlier, is that Instagram has been able to amass 300 million subscribers around the world. What's even more impressive, in my view, is that fact that this exceeds the number of users seen on Twitter. This bit of news has been covered across various news websites, which you can find by simply going online to search. Seeing as how Twitter is no small name, either, this point is especially noteworthy.

This past March, it was observed that Instagram possessed 200 million users. Once Facebook bought Instagram the following month, though, it was easy to see that improvements would be made. After all, this is what progress entails, which is a point that firms such as fishbat will be unable to ignore. If you want to talk about what these improvements entail, there is quite a bit of discussion to be made across a litany of Internet marketing firms.

One of the many points of improvements spoken about, by Instagram, was authenticity. Specifically, it was said that a verification system will be set in place in order to confirm that the pages belonging to celebrities, sports teams, and the like are legitimate. This isn't unlike the system that social media websites like Twitter have incorporated. More than anything else, I believe that this system will to retain Instagram users, as opposed to lose them.

It's clear that Facebook has had an affect on Instagram's audience. Through these improved numbers, Instagram has amassed even more popularity and I believe that anyone who's even remotely involved in the Internet can say the same. With that said, it's important to consider that visuals are more easily digestible than other forms of media, text included. As a result, I do not see Instagram's appeal lowering anywhere in the near future.
