Companies Are Soon Going To Be Turning To The Document Cloud

Have you ever wanted access to all your documents, everywhere, at once? Well, Document Cloud is a Web based program that allows users to store and compose articles for safe keeping. Even gamers and programmers use this as a way of storing information before allowing it to become public knowledge. Once it becomes public anyone will have access.

This was founded by Eric Umansky and Scott Klein as a non-profit organization. The Knight News challenge was awarded to them to build and operate in 2009.This challenge helps to speed up media innovations by backing the best breakthrough ideas in news. For those that are winners they each receive a share of the $5 million as well as getting support from the network in helping them to improve their ideas.

Every year more and more News Challenge applications are received and over 111 projects have been funded by the $37 million. It helps to keep communities and people around the world informed as to what is happening. Michael Maness joined this foundation in 2011 and leads the Journalism and Media Innovation program.

When one is working on this network everything will remain private for as long as one wishes. Once it is shared it will then be another in the thousands of other important documents. These can then be viewed in the public catalog. Reporters and any public person will then be able to find those documents and this will lead them back to what one had written. Many documents such as court filings, legislations, memos, reports and meeting minutes are stored in the catalogue.

Another member is John Bracken and has over 12 years of experience as being a humanitarian investor in media policy, digital media and innovation. Before overseeing the Knights News Challenge and Prototype Fund he worked at the Ford Foundation. He has a master's degree for communications as well as a BA from Pitzer College.

This online storage has in the past been expensive to use but over the last few years the price has come down and in some cases can be used for free. This is now used to store photos, videos and music just to name a few. The sizes are getting larger and larger as most photos that are now uploaded use 18 megapixels and blue ray movies have come about.

Some providers that store information can makes ones computer slow which will also slow down the internet connection. With this Cloud, one will not have this problem. Many professionals use this as it does not cause any problems when it comes to ones computer.
