You Would Like Traffic To Your Site? Stop All The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Increasing organic traffic traffic is straightforward

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to supply even more traffic to our site, we'd boost our sales, I believe it is safe to state that we all bought into that crap. On the surface, it appears reasonable. Assessing that concept a little bit better under a minute lens, it doesn't hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how frequently I have truly talked with company owners who had essentially managed to drive enormous amounts of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic was not converting into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic changing.

The absolute best starting place is by appraising the quality of traffic that's currently visiting your website. My mom instructed me to never presume. Well mom, please pardon me, I'm going to take the leap into the dark and do so anyway. I am going to presume that you have Google Analytics on your internet site which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some odd reason you are not currently tracking the traffic coming to your internet site, shame on you. The more you understand about your traffic and what your site visitors are doing the better off you will be.

If you're presently tracking your traffic, begin by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the majority of traffic is coming from a PPC project you are running for example, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Check your PAY-PER-CLICK projects quality scores. If you happen to have a low score, modify your landing page.
2. You may double check your keywords and modify them too.

At the day's end it comes down to tracking your traffic, and ensuring it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, for example. It all boils down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing now.
